Traditional media isn’t dying, it’s changing. With many new technologies, can you even think of the last time you bought a traditional magazine, book, or newspaper? The answer is most likely, no, unless it was a digital magazine an e-book or a newspaper read on a tablet. The idea of getting your up to date news from a newspaper seems almost old fashion. Today’s news is already outdated within hours. I am not saying that traditional media is dead; it is just experiencing a shift. It’s now about adapting your product with new available technology.
For example The New York Times, a prominent nationally recognized newspaper recently went digital to adapt to technology and not get left behind in traditional media. White Digital Media joins the likes of the NYT by being strictly digital. Not only is White Digital Media’s magazines readable on different platforms, we also include different forms of media. With digital magazines for 14 different brands, up-to-date newsworthy sites accompany each magazine.times. Working at a digital media company has exposed me to an array of unique technologies. With iPads, PlayBooks, TouchPads, Nooks and Kindles; It’s a fact that everything and everyone is going digital, and if they aren’t they should be. With more mobility and ease of being able to access infinite amounts of information at the drop of a dime is simply incredible.
With technology moving forward the digital media world will be progressively growing. How well companies adapt to this growing technology will define companies old and new. So, leaving you with a closing thought, think digital, the world’s better that way.
