ExecDigital.co.uk, the pioneering digital media site for global business leaders, re-launches web site and magazine and expands global news team

Norwich, UK (January 29, 2009) – As a pioneering digital media site exploring business and lifestyle issues facing top executives, ExecDigital.co.uk (www.execdigital.co.uk) announced a number of key additions to its global editorial team in conjunction with the re-launch of the Exec Digital brand.

“ExecDigital.co.uk has been leading digital publishing during the past two years and now with our re-launch, our media company becomes even stronger,” says Founder and Chief Executive Officer Glen White. “I look forward to achieving a new level of success as we deliver more relevant content to web-savvy business readers across the globe with these key professionals on our team.”

Martin Slofstra, former editor of Canada’s largest IT magazine, has joined ExecDigital.ca, Exec Digital’s Canada edition, as the Editor in Chief. Slofstra has 25 years of experience covering the information technology industry in Canada, most recently serving as Editorial Director of the IT Business Group at Transcontinental Media, Canada’s largest publisher of IT-related magazines, newspapers and websites. Slofstra became a Staff Writer for Computing Canada, a Plesman Communications publication, in 1985, and later served as Communications Editor and Editor for the magazine. In 1997, he helped launch and became Editor of InfoSystems Executive, later re-titled as EDGE: Executives in Digital Global Economy, Canada’s first technology magazine for business executives. “I’m thrilled to bring my extensive background covering technology to the evolution of journalism and media,” says Slofstra. “We are creating a global editorial platform for delivering meaningful content to business executives located around the world, complete with local editions for each country.”

“We are also very excited to have Dean Tsouvalas join our operation as Editor in Chief of ExecDigital.com,” says White of the brand’s U.S. edition. “Dean brings valuable experience to our media company, which is aggressively establishing and growing our editorial assets for online, mobile and digital distribution.”

Prior to joining ExecDigital.com, Tsouvalas spent almost two decades carving a unique career path through traditional and digital media, first as an award-winning TV producer who was part of the team that launched the FX Network and then at ABC News’ Prime Time Live, and 20/20 working for Diane Sawyer and Connie Chung. In 2001, he became head of content for Lycos, going on to write the nationally-recognized daily column The Lycos 50. This role established Tsouvalas as a leading authority on the relationship between Web search and pop culture trends. In 2006, he was named Executive Producer of social network Eons, established by Monster.com founder Jeff Taylor. Tsouvalas was responsible for creating, strategizing and directing the editorial voice. “The future of media is digital,” says Tsouvalas, “and I’m excited to be part of the new media revolution at ExecDigital.com.”

Ben Lobel has been promoted to Editor of ExecDigital.co.uk.

Lobel joined the digital magazine in August 2008 with a background in newspaper journalism in the North West of England. Ben has written for the Manchester Evening News, Nottingham Evening Post and the Bolton News after time on numerous provincial titles. He joined ExecDigital.co.uk in August 2008 as Deputy Editor for the UK branch of the magazine. “I am delighted to head up the UK editorial team at this exciting stage in the company’s development,” says Lobel.
